Enterprise Dashboard for Scalable Operations

Contact

I designed an intuitive design tool that allows users to easily create customized signage boards tailored to their specific requirements.

Improving invoice management and user administration through streamlined workflows, role-based access control, and a scalable platform designed to support future business growth.

The Client

A leading provider of pressure control equipment and engineered solutions for the oil and gas industry. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, the company designs, manufactures, sells, and services wellhead systems and spoolable pipeline technologies, supporting safe and efficient drilling, completion, and production operations across domestic and international energy markets.

Business need

The client wanted to upgrade their existing dashboard to improve efficiency and simplify day-to-day operations. The project focused on redesigning the invoice management experience by creating clear workflows for uploading invoices, assigning them to the appropriate users, and enabling a structured review process across three approval levels (L1, L2, and L3). Alongside this, I designed a flexible user management system that allows administrators to add new users, assign roles, permissions and applications, and provide access to specific industries as the company grows through new acquisitions. The overall goal was to create a scalable, intuitive, and organized platform that supports both operational workflows and future business expansion.

My Role & Design Solution

As the UI/UX Designer, I led the end-to-end design of the interactive platform. My goal was to make it simple enough for beginners while still powerful for advanced users.
Key design contributions included:

  • Design canvas: Built a drag-and-drop editor where users can arrange text, icons, and shapes in real time.

  • Live preview: Added instant feedback so users could see colors, brightness, and effects as they designed.

  • Design system: Created reusable building blocks to keep the product consistent and easy to expand later.

  • User flows: Simplified steps for signing up, saving, and exporting designs so users wouldn’t drop off.

  • Cloud-ready UI: Shaped the interface to work smoothly with the new cloud-based backend.

My Role & Design Solution

I redesigned the dashboard with a user-centered approach, simplifying complex workflows into a structured and intuitive experience. The invoice management flow was streamlined with guided upload, assignment, and multi-level approval processes (L1, L2, and L3), enabling users to track invoice status with greater clarity and efficiency.
To support organizational growth, I designed a scalable user management module that allows administrators to easily create users, assign roles, permissions, applications, and industry-specific access from a centralized interface. Consistent layouts, reusable components, and clear information hierarchy improved usability while ensuring the platform could adapt to future acquisitions and evolving business needs.

Screens

User Management screen

The User Management screen displays a list of all users, along with the applications they have access to, their department, and their role. Administrators can manage users by editing application access, adding new users, or deleting existing users.

User Management - Add User step 01/03

Here admin can add a new user

User Management - Role & Profile 02/03

On the second step admin can assign a role to the user like

Viewer : who will have only read only access
Editor : Can create and edit with assigned entities
Manager : Manage users

Admin : Manage users & settings within entities

Super Admin : Full unrestricted access

User Management - Entity Access 03/03

Administrators can first select an entity from the left panel, such as AB International or BC Industry & Steel. The list of entities is designed to be scalable and can be expanded in the future as new entities are added.

User Management - Entity Access 03/03

After selecting an entity, the administrator can grant users access to the applications associated with that entity.
