I designed an intuitive design tool that allows users to easily create customized signage boards tailored to their specific requirements.

I redesigned the Lauritz Knudsen website, driving a brand and usability refresh to establish a modern, intuitive online presence.

The Client

Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation is a pioneering electrical and automation brand with a rich legacy of over 70 years in India.

Business need

The website required a complete refresh to address their rebrand and usability and information architecture challenges across the site. The broader goal was to create a modern, intuitive, and user-friendly experience that would elevate the brand's digital presence.

Example: The brand required a structural solution to significantly improve the post-purchase experience and reduce service inquiry lead time by making technical diagnostics, error code lookup, and comprehensive FAQ answers instantly and efficiently accessible directly on the PDP.

My Role & Design Solution

As the UI/UX Designer, I led the end-to-end design of the interactive platform. My goal was to make it simple enough for beginners while still powerful for advanced users.
Key design contributions included:

  • Design canvas: Built a drag-and-drop editor where users can arrange text, icons, and shapes in real time.

  • Live preview: Added instant feedback so users could see colors, brightness, and effects as they designed.

  • Design system: Created reusable building blocks to keep the product consistent and easy to expand later.

  • User flows: Simplified steps for signing up, saving, and exporting designs so users wouldn’t drop off.

  • Cloud-ready UI: Shaped the interface to work smoothly with the new cloud-based backend.

My Role & Design Solution

I established a scalable, user-centric information architecture for key functional areas of the website. For example, the specific user flows and UI patterns for accessing critical post-purchase support resources.

  • Implemented powerful, context-aware search, sort, and filtering mechanisms within the support sections to reduce manual browsing and drastically improve information retrieval speed.

  • Transformed the PDP by introducing dedicated, utility-focused tabs (Diagnostics and FAQ).

Impact & Results

Reduction in Call Volume, Increase in Self-Service Adoption Rate (measured by unique views of the Diagnostics and FAQ tabs), Improvement in Customer Effort Score (CES)
